1st Dan

Sion became interested in Karate in 1996. Wanting a challenge, Sion (then only 6 years old) decided to follow his uncle, Ian Rowe
(2nd Dan) into the sport. "I was always a fan of the Karate Kid films and still am !"
Sion began working hard in Karate and fighting in competitions at the age of 14 or 15 and enjoys fighting at
home and away, training
and under the instruction and guidance of 'Bungie'. He enjoys being part of and training amongst the many blacks at the Budokan Wadokai Karate
Club and likes to push himself to the limits and setting targets for himself. Teaching the lower grades is another thing that Sion enjoys.
Sion is another great fighter of the future. He loves the atmosphere of the fighting arena and lists his highlights so far of
his 'up and coming' Karate' career, as being selected for the British AMA Karate Squad Team, fighting in a Wales v Ireland tournament, and his
memorable moments as being fighting alongside fellow black belts Dean Draper, Adam Barber, Anthony Bridge, Jordan Hopkins and Rhys Edwards. He has
won many trophies, including winning Bronze in the Welsh Championships and a Silver in the Irish Championships. Since gaining more experience
in competitions and teaching Karate, it has become more of a passion of his.
His other highlight of his Karate Career is gaining
his 1st Dan.
" I think Karate is a great sport that is underrated and is loads of fun when you get into it. I would recommend taking up
Karate to anyone, as long as they can discipline themselves, show respect, work hard and aren't afraid to push themselves!"
