Jonathon (Johnny) started at the age of 10 back in 1987, and has achieved 1st Dan status. He joined because he was a fan of Jean Claude Van Damme when he was a kid and thought he would like to be able to kick like him. Johnny has won British and Welsh Titles and was North Midlands Champion. Also he has fought for Wales in Scotland, Ireland, England, Belgium and France. He has also travelled away with the Welsh Team at Junior and at Senior levels, along with receiving many other titles in Karate. But Johnny has now switched to Kickboxing and has been training in the sport for the past 9 years. After gaining the confidence and skills under 'Bungie' at the Budokan Wadokai Club, he has now opened his own Kickboxing Club "Tumble Kickboxing Club", alongside his wife Tina Singleton. "I love Full-contact Kickboxing and Boxing. It's very good for self-defence and keeps you fit and healthy !" |
